Teeth Hurt

Sometimes there are good reasons to cry. Parker's teeth #13 and #14 are through, and we're working on #15 and #16.

P.S. Keyton & Garrison: He's not in trouble, he just doesn't feel good.

Do I Have Something On My Face?

Spaghetti is better when its messy. And Parker is fantastic at making a mess.

And, yes, spaghetti sauce does stain the face orange.

Simple Thoughts

I receive daily thoughts from RealSimple.com. I especially liked today's. If you look to the right, you'll see where I've added a new element. Look for the Thought to be updated regularly. (And feel free to steal/remember/copy/keep it if you want) : )

What Folks Are Made Of

This is one of my favorite nursery rhymes. I was thinking about it earlier, and when I Googled it, I found the original version:

What are little babies made of, made of?
What are little babies made of?
Diapers and crumbs and sucking their thumbs;
That's what little babies are made of?

What are little boys made of, made of?
What are little boys made of?
Snips and snails and puppy-dog tails;
That's what little boys are made of.

What are little girls made of, made of?
What are little girls made of?
Sugar and spice and everything nice;
That's what little girls are made of.

What are young men made of, made of?
What are young men made of?
Sighs and leers and crocodile tears;
That's what young men are made of.

What are young women made of, made of?
What are young women made of?
Rings and jings and other fine things;
That's what young women are made of.

What are our sailors made of, made of?
What are our sailors made of?
Pitch and tar, pig-tail and scar;
That's what our sailors are made of.

What are our soldiers made of, made of?
What are our soldiers made of?
Pipeclay and drill, the foeman to kill;
That's what our soldiers are made of.

What are our nurses made of, made of?
What are our nurses made of?
Bushes and thorns and old cow's horns;
That's what our nurses are made of.

What are our fathers made of, made of?
What are our fathers made of?
Pipes and smoke and collars choke;
That's what our fathers are made of.

What are our mothers made of, made of?
What are our mothers made of?
Ribbons and laces and sweet pretty faces;
That's what our mothers are made of.

What are old men made of, made of?
What are old men made of?
Slippers that flop and a bald-headed top;
That's what old men are made of.

What are old women made of, made of?
What are old women made of?
Reels, and jeels, and old spinning wheels;
That's what old women are made of?

What are all folks made of, made of?
What are all folks made of?
Fighting a spot and loving a lot,
That's what all folks are made of.

Night, Night

This is how Parker went to sleep tonight. He loves his Mommy all day long, but as soon as Daddy gets home, he's his boy until he goes to bed.

American Idol

This guy was AMAZING last night. You all know I love Mariah Carey, but I think he did it better. After last night I'm pulling for him or Brooke White to win.

Clarification

When I was gone this past weekend, I missed JOEY & Parker (equally). Somehow I inadvertently left out the fact that I missed my favorite husband in my post below. I am extremely sorry for any hurt feelings or confusion this has cause to my readers. :)

We Love Pizza!

We had pizza for lunch today. I don't know what Parker enjoyed more; eating the pizza or making a mess!

Moms Can Have Fun Too

I made a trip to Nashville this weekend, for a mommy only playdate. Every once in a while mommy needs a night out too! (But I was glad to come home and see Parker)

Videos Of Parker Watching Videos

Parker loves to watch himself of the computer. Here is is watching the video below of him screaming:

And here he is watching the video of him giggling:

Timeout Doesn't Stop For Sunburn

Ouchie!

Parker wore sunscreen on his playdate, but I guess he didn't wear enough. He went to bed with his first sunburn Tuesday night, and woke up Wednesday morning with 2 blisters, 1 on each cheek :( I took him to the doctor just to make sure it wasn't too serious. It wasn't, thank goodness, but we're keeping lots of aloe and TLC handy.

We learned rub on sunblock is better than spray and from now on we will reapply after 30 minutes...not matter what the back of the bottle says. He has been a very big, strong boy today.

Here he is earlier today, showing me how fun it is to scream:

Latest Playdate

Parker met his future wife on Tuesday. We had a playdate at the park with Emma, and her mom Brandy.

Parker took a little bit to warm to up her, but he ended up giving into temptation...he LOVES girls! (And Emma loved him)

My Grandpa

My grandpa Lyle made it onto my mom's blog. I am very proud to show him off!

Thanks Granny D & Pa

Parker's Granny D and PaNut came and saw their favorite boy this past weekend. Before they left, PaNut left some $ for Parker. (I may or may not have hinted that Parker needed new shoes) Here are his new kicks.

We Love This

Joey and I have actually talked about how we LIKE this commercial. It comes on our cable here often, so if you've never seen it, be prepared to have it stuck in your head for the rest of the day, baby.
