Instead Of Taking A Nap

What was I thinking assuming that my sweet little child was taking his afternoon nap. Lord, no. He was busy rearranging most of his clothes into a messy pile on his bedroom floor. That was very nice of him wasn't it?

What's In A Name?

From http://www.behindthename.com

WILLIAM

Gender: Masculine

Usage: English

Pronounced: WIL-ee-am, WIL-yam [key]

From the Germanic name Wilhelm, which was composed of the elements wil "will, desire" and helm "helmet, protection". The name was introduced to Britain by the Normans.

PARKER

Gender: Masculine & Feminine

Usage: English

Pronounced: PAHR-kur [key]

From a surname which meant "keeper of the park" in Old French.

TRACIE

Gender: Feminine & Masculine

Usage: English

Pronounced: TRAY-see [key]

From a surname which was taken from a Norman French place name meaning "domain belonging to THRACIUS". This name is also used as a short form of THERESA.

JOSEPH

Gender: Masculine

Usage: English, French, German, Biblical

Pronounced: JO-sef (English), zho-ZEF (French), YO-zef (German) [key]

From the Latin Iosephus, which was from the Greek Ιωσηφος (Iosephos), which was from the Hebrew name יוֹסֵף (Yosef) meaning "he will add". In the Old Testament Joseph is the eleventh son of Jacob. Because he was the favourite of his father, his older brothers sent him to Egypt and told their father that he had died. In Egypt, Joseph became an advisor to the pharaoh, and was eventually reconciled with his brothers when they came to Egypt during a famine. This is the name of two characters in the New Testament: Joseph the husband of Mary and Joseph of Arimathea. Also, rulers of the Holy Roman Empire have had this name.

Guess what I'm getting ready for. I've been telling Joey this week that I'm selling junk, just to buy more. Its Thursday afternoon, and I'm pretty much done getting everything out and priced. I went through all of Parker's clothes he can't wear anymore, and I got out all the sentimental pieces. The rest I've marked to go. The only thing left to go through now is mine and Joey's closet. Tomorrow I am going to get change and put signs out on the roads late that night. Weather permitting, we've got a big sale planned for Saturday morning. Wish us luck and lots of customers!

Tagged!

If you are reading this, and you have a blog, you've been tagged. Because inquiring minds want to know, you MUST repost with your OWN answers!

If you HAD to spend $1,000 on YOURSELF, how would you spend it? clothes, purses, a new golf club, new shoes, and I would probably sneak and buy Parker some stuff

Quirks: I am weird about the way my dishwasher is loaded.

New Background

I want your (honest) input! Do you like this one or the one before better? I can't decide how I feel about the firetrucks.

Happy Father's Day

Hey Dude,
You're the best daddy ever. I love it when we wrestle when you come home from work, and when we eat chips (even though mommy gets mad at us for that). I hear lots of people say, "You look just like you're daddy". When I grow up I don't want to just look like you, I want to BE just like you, daddy.
Love, Parker

Happy Anniversary to my parents. I asked my mom 'aka hot legs' today how it felt to be married for 34 years.  She said she's never known any different. So of course  had to ask my dad how he felt also. Cool pants' only reply was that he felt old. Deep down I know they really love each other, so here's to 34 years to my parents. :)

Vacation

Joey and I took a little road trip last week. We drove to the coast. We stayed on Tybee Island and spent some time in Savannah. Its so pretty there! Lots of history. I can't post all the pictures because there are so many, but I'll share my favorites.

Tybee Island Lighthouse. We climbed to the top!

And here is what we saw:

Forsyth Square in Savannah

House from Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil

Where Forrest Gump was filmed waiting on the bus.

The beach at Tybee.

Sorry, Joey. I had to.
